New baby in the family!

My sister had a her baby on september 4th. Hes so beautiful. We havent had a new baby in the family for 8 years so its super esciting. I have been waiting 9 months to take these pictures. They turned out GREAT!

Downtown St. Louis and the Arch

Finally, before heading home Sunday, we went to the arch and walked around downtown St. Louis. Such a great place to visit. The parks downtown are so much fun to play in. It was very hot so the fact that there was a "splash pad" was awesome!

City Museum

After the zoo we decided to head over to the City Museum in downtown St. Louis. This has got to be one of the coolest places I have ever seen! there are tubes and tunnels and stairs and slides. It is crazy. The kids had a blast here. Especially Jacob. climbing and exploring is definitly his thing. every tunnel or cave you entered took you to some wierd new place. I think my husband loved it as much as the kids but the place was not built for a 6 1/2 ft tall man! I think he even got stuck in one of the slides. LOL

St. Louis Zoological Park

Ok so last weekend my hubby decided it was time for a road trip. We took the kids to the St. Louis Zoo, the City Museum, and downtown to see the arch. The last time we had been to St. Louis was in 2001 when my son was 2. This time around was a blast since my kids are older.

Oh so much to catch up with!

I have been sooooo busy lately and havent had the chance to get on here and update so I am doing it today. First I was busy busy busy with preparing for my sisters baby showers. I made the cake(s) and my gift to her was my very first diaper cake. Let me just say, I love it! I wish I new somebody else having a baby because i would love to make another one! So here are some pictures of those. One of these days I may actually scrapbook a layout and post it here! :)

My first cake!

I recieved my cricut cake in the mail a couple days ago and was finally able to bake a cake and play with my machine! I think i am going to really like it.
I baked this cake just as a practice but since it was our anniversary I made it an anniversary cake. I need a little (o.k. a lot) practice with my piping and such but am happy with it.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks!

Soooo, I have been so busy lately, I havent even been able to jump on here and update anything. So I decided I was going to take the time today to do that!

First off, I have not been able to scrapbook but I did order and recieve Amy Chomas's gel pen holder and embossign kit. :) I am super excited to play with them. Hopefully this weekend.

As for what I have been so busy doing? Well, here it goes. About 2 weeks ago my kids and I had our dentist appointments. My daughter had 5 cavities. Yes, 5!! WTH??? My son has NEVER had a cavity and I just had my first one ever a couple months ago. What is wrong with my daughters teeth? lol OK so we had to do 2 different appointments to get them filled, which, by the way, was WAY worse for me than it was for her. :) At one point I heard her cry across the dentist office. I think a little piece of my heart broke.

Anyways so on the the next thing. My mother decided we were going to start baking and decorating cakes. This is fine. I enjoy baking cakes. But we had our first order for an adult themed (male body part) cake. Well holy cow was that stressful! The cakes did not want to bake right. Its been hot and 90% humidity didnt help either. Finally cooked one and had it cooling when I remembered I had my sister and her friends and her friends one year old on their way over to take pictures. So I had to rush and get my little fake studio setup. I did get the photos done and they turned out BEAUTIFUL except for the fact that they woke up the 1 year old to bring her over. It was not easy to get her to smile!

So with all this and house work, plus I clean house for an elderly couple and the kids home for the summer....I need a straight jacket and padded cell. :)

Geez I just want some down time. Hopefully next week will be good and calm!!! (crossing my fingers)

Another Layout done finally. These are some more photos of my kids with their cousins in California. I loved those owls and have been dying to use this cut in a layout. The owl flourish is a SVG cut out with my Make the Cut software.

Falls at Yosemite`~ SOUS 4/30

Another layout done finally. These photos are at the bottom of Bridalvail, one of the beautiful waterfalls in Yosemite National Park . I finally was able to find the Inkssentials ink blending tool and some more distressing ink this weekend so I played with those A LOT on this layout. Thanks for looking. :)

Family Ties ~ SOUS 3/12

I told you all I was behind on SOUS challenges! This is the layout from way back in March. I finished this LO over a week ago but could not, for the life of me, come up with a title! I stared at this darn page forever, but nothin. So I posted it over on the MTC forum and "VIOLA" , within minutes I had tons of suggestions. Gotta love those ladies! :) Anyways this is a picture of my kids with there cousins in California. It was taken about a month ago on our vacation out there. Hope you like. Thanks for lookin.

Skate~ SOUS 5/14

So this is my first layout post. These are pictures of my kids in their new Heely's. My son, who has been heelying for years now, is teaching his sister. It was the sweetest sight. They are usually fighting but this time he was taking such good care of her, making sure she didnt get hurt. I used the new Cricut Lite cartridge "Dude" for the cuts in this layout.
